What a great time to see beautiful autumn colours, I can remember visiting Westonbirt Arboretum with our kids who collected leaves, dried and then put them into a scrapbook. If you are a photographer then this is a great time of year with stunning light and rays which will enhance your images.

There are many places to visit near to you and we list below some of the best places we know. So get your wellies packed and take a walk in the country! 

The best time to see Autumn cours is from around mid October to mid November but much will depend on whether or not there is an Indian Summer. It is probably best to phone before travelling distances. You might also want to take a short break and our guide features places to stay near your destinations.
