Discover the amazing Studley Royal Water Garden, near Ripon. This is one of the finest Water Gardens ever created from the river which runs through the grounds of Fountains Abbey.

The garden was designed by John and William Aislabie in the early 1700s predating the work of Capability Brown, and includes follies, canals and cascades. The highlight however must be the Moonshape ponds which are totally unique.

The loop walk from Fountains Abbey is worth doing with a coffee stop halfway and takes about 90 minutes.There are 'Wheelchair Friendly' paths.

Entrace is via Fountains Abbey and free for National Trust Members.
