Elsing Hall Garden

Elsing Hall Garden, near East Dereham

This lovely garden at Elsing Hall was created by David and Shirley Cargill in 1984.

David and Shirley Cargill had a love for roses which now fill the beds and cover the walls, in glorious informal displays which gives a romantic feel to the Elsing Hall garden.
The roses include R. Mme. Alfred Carrier, Vita Sackville West's favourite R. Souvenir du Dr. Jamain, R. Fantin Latour, R. Cardinal de Richelieu, R. Rambling Rector, R. Ragosa Rosa de l'Hay.
More than just roses however with many other unusual plants . There is a moat and stewpond surrounded by many interesting plants.
The Cargills have now moved on but the garden remains open to parties by arrangement.

Elsing Hall and Garden - only open to parties by prior appointment. Interested people should email: - [email protected] or call 01362 637 866 to make a booking.
