Harewood House Gardens

Harewood House Gardens

The garden landscape at Harewood House has been intimately bound to the House from its beginning.

In 1758, as the proportions and foundations of Harewood House were being laid out, the shape of the surrounding landscape was being determined by the designer Lancelot 'Capability' Brown for the Lascelles family.
The fabulous Italianate terrace with grand parterre is the highlight but plenty more to see with Rhododendrons, rare and exotic plants, grand displays of daffodils in the Spring. The garden a includes an extensive walled garden, rose garden as well as the Himalayan Garden opened  by Alan Titchmarsh.

Harewood House and Garden - 2018 - Open from 23 March but see website for times and days.
