
Rockingham Castle and Gardens
The gardens at Rockingham Castle date back to the time of the end of the civil war. The garden includes terraces and a stunning Rose Garden planted with David Austin Roses within the ruins of the old keep. There is also a Wild Garden, lake and to explore
Rockingham Castle and gardens dates back to 1066 and in 1566 it was converted from a medieval Castle into a Tudor residence.
The gardens date back to the end of the Civil war with terraces and the Cross Garden, which are separated by the 'Elephant' Yew Hedge. There is a wonderful Rose Garden within the original keep ruins, with paths dating back to the Civil War. There is also a 'Wild Garden' to explore in the Ravine with plenty of wildlife to be found amongst the trees, shrubs and wildflowers plus a lake where you can relax.
