Peter Beales Roses - This is a wonderful display garden covering 3 acres, together with a 'Rose' Garden Centre and reastaurant. Admission is free.
Peter Beales started his rose nursery in 1968 and during his lifetime he won 19 Gold Medals for his roses at Chelsea Flower Show as well as becoming an exporter of roses all over the world.
The Rose garden will take your breath away and consists of many borders plus the addition of arches, pergolas, fences with climbing roses, rambling roses, shrub roses mixed with herbaceous and annual plantings.
Probably the best time to visit is between early June and Mid July - we visited mid June.
