Hardy's Cottage and Garden is nestled down a country lane amongst woodland in the Dorset countryside and is the historic cottage and garden where one of the most famous novelists and poets in the world was born and where he spent his younger years.
Thomas Hardy is famous for novels such as 'Far from the Madding Crowd' and 'Tess of the d'Urbevilles'. 
The garden is worth visiting combined with a visit to the cottage which is also open.
