Kildrummy Castle Gardens, Alford
A special garden set in a beautiful atmospheric surroundings, with lots of all year interest and colours
The garden below the historic Kildrummy Castle is a special place to visit. The main feature is the wonderful bridge spanning four ponds fed by a fast running burn. They were created in 1904 by the owner who employed a Japanese firm to create the water garden.
There are a wide selection of water garden plants, but that is not all - there are good displays of rhododendrons in late spring and other colourful plantings in the quarry garden.
2017 - Open April to October - see website for times.
