Armadale Castle, Garden and Museum the Isle of Skye
Clan Donald Skye has 40 acres of exotic trees, shrubs and flowers in its gardens.
At Clan Donald Skye a bridge takes you over a narrow gorge to informal gardens so do not expect to see manicured borders. In Spring there are good displays of bluebells, orchids and wild flowers.
There is a terrace walk with herbaceous gardens and water plants flourish in and around the ponds.
There are woodland walks and nature trails further afield which are home to wildlife. You may see deer, and otters.
Garden worth visiting when combined with Museum of the Isles which is on site.
2018 - Gardens at Armadale Castle Openings normally from Easter to October. See website. Refreshments, shop, disabled access. Museum of the Isles.
