Whalton Manor

Whalton Manor has a beautiful private garden offering a rare opportunity to see a historically significant garden which has been lovingly restored and updated. The house dates from the 17th century , but the gardens were designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens with help of Gertrude Jekyll, when he substantially altered the house in 1908.The magnificent walled garden surrounds the house and includes listed summerhouses, pergolas and walls festooned with rambling roses and clematis as well as magnificent herbaceous borders.

2011 Whalton Manor open for groups by appointment. We are able to provide homemade lunch tea and morning coffee. Also evening tours which could include champagne or wine. See the web site for further information www.whaltonmanor
