The Enchanted Wood at Westonbirt, the National Arboretum is a magical event, enjoyed by thousands of visitors every year. Following the spectacle of Autumn Colour during October and early November the Enchanted Wood gives visitors the opportunity to experience the Arboretum’s stunning collection of trees after dark.

Over 1000 spotlights light up some of the tallest, oldest and rarest trees in Britain along a one mile trail around the ‘Old Arboretum’ which is full of colour and shapes and wonderful lights. The first trees were planted in 1829 by Robert Holford in an area known as the Savill Glade. This is one of the highlights and contains many of Holfords original plantings.

The trail is flat and great for all ages. The Maples Restaurant at the Arboretum will be opening late during the event.
