The
Nurtons is a 2.5-acre plants man’s garden that continues to develop.
It is a mixture of formality and informality in a beautiful, tranquil and
historical setting.
A sunny, southerly aspect provides an ideal climate for Mediterranean plants,
including a notable collection of Salvias.
The herb garden has a large collection of medicinal herbs.
The shadier parts of the garden include a large collection of hostas, ferns and
spring bulbs.
There is also a pond and water feature.
The garden has featured in a number of publications and has
appeared on Gardeners World.
The whole garden has been run organically for 40 years and has a Soil
Association Symbol.
