Built in 1870 by the Prince and Princess of Wales, later King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, Sandringham was once described as 'The most comfortable house in England'.  It has been passed down as a private home through four generations of British monarchs and is now the country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh.
Beautiful herbaceous borders designed by Geoffrey Jellicoe, woodland and lakes with magnolias, camellias, rhododendrons and fine trees and much more.
Garden Tours at Sandringham House: Fridays and Saturdays at 11am and 2pm including the Walled Garden - small supplement.

2008 Sandringham House, Museum and Gardens Open -
daily from Saturday 22nd March to Friday 25thJuly, and then from Sunday 3rd August to Sunday 26th October.  Gardens 10.30am to 5pm (4pm in October), House 11am to 5pm - (4pm in October).
