Rowallane Gardens set in 50 acres were created in the mid 19th century but were further developed by Hugh Moore, a famous plantsman in the early 1900s.
Well known for its large collection of  rhododendrons there is much else to see including wildflower meadows, snowdrops, an interesting rock garden and a walled garden with many rare plants including the National Collection of Penstemon.
New in 2009 - Tree trail.
Good autumn colours.
