"Like Sleeping Beauty's Palace, the gothic beauty of Norwich's Plantation Garden has been protected from the ravages of time by dense brambles. Step down a narrow drive between two prosperous-looking Victorian villas just outside the city's medieval walls, and as if by magic, you find yourself at the edge of a steep sided, verdant valley which is in fact a three acre sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of nearby shopping streets."Extract from an article by Ms J Owen, Garden section of The Times October 28, 2000. |
