The gardens at the GradeII listed Packwood House date from 1650.
The Yew Garden was said to represent the Sermon on the Mount. A large single Yew set on a tall mound is reached by a spiral path with 12 large yews on the terrace below. Many more were planted in the 1850s.
There is a Carolean Garden beside the house enclosed by 17th century brick walls with gazebos at each corner. Fine herbaceous gardens, sunken pool, Roman baths.
Lakeside Walks.
