National Wildflower Centre

Garden Holidays UK & Worldwide

The National Wildflower Centre has a variety of growing habitats that demonstrate the range of places and surfaces where wildflowers will thrive. There is also a wildlife pond, filled with rainwater from the roof, that contains wildlife such as dragonflies and newts, and lots of ideas for how you can welcome wildflowers into your own garden, no matter how small!

Rooftop Walkway
The Centre's RIBA award-winning concrete building has an innovative 160 metre-long rooftop walkway with a rooftop meadow, from here you can view the whole Centre and look out into Court Hey Park. Information panels along the length of the walkway provide information about wildflowers associated with the different months of the year.
