The Moreton Gardens have been created on the site of the old kitchen garden of Moreton House.
Originally laid out in 1742 the three and a half acres, together with a similar sized walled garden next to these gardens produced fruit, vegetables and flowers for the 'big house' for almost two hundred years until 1940.
The gardens now have both formal and informal areas with the Moreton Brook flowing through to a lake surrounded by mature trees.
Plenty of quiet areas to take in the atmosphere and bird song with many colourful borders giving a good display throughout the year from Camelias and rhododendrons early on to herbaceous borders later in the year.
