Wander peacefully through 20 acres at Minterne Gardens, where magnolias and rhododendrons tower over small streams in Spring, and later, eurcryphias, hydrangeas and water lilies provide a new vista at each turn with ducks on the small lakes and cascades.
You can either follow the lower garden walk,  or take the upland walk which gives superb views across the densely planted valley.
Spring is a brilliant time to visit but the gardens will give pleasure any time.

Minterne Gardens open daily 2009 - 1 March - 31 Oct, 10 - 6 or dusk if earlier, restricted disabled access. Tea Room at nearby Cerne Abbas.
