Garden Holidays Banner

Lytes  Cary Manor was owned of medieval herbalist Henry Lyte, and the house is surrounded by an enchanting small garden.
We visited on a warm summer's day and were not diappointed.

The borders are planted with mixed shrubs, perennials and roses. Hidden paths enclosed by high hedges lead to surprise views at Lytes Cary.
The path leading up to the manor is bordered with some fine topiary.
Beyond  a formal orchard, open lawns and statues lead to a shady tunnel of hornbeam and a secret garden.
If visiting make time to see insides Lytes Cary Manor itself. Tintinhull Gardens and East Lambrook are close by.
