Lydiard Park Walled Garden, Swindon

Garden Holidays Banner

This large walled garden at Lydiard Park was originally built in the 1740's to provide the St John family a peaceful place to stroll and admire the plants as well as being used for fruit for the dining table.
The garden which fell into decline over a century ago has been lovingly restored by volunteers from pictures, plans and letters.
It is now a riot of colour and will improve further as plants become established. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.
Take time to visit the interesting mansion and delightful historic church.
There are other lovely gardens in the area and plenty of great places to stay.
