12 Acre garden and arboretum - An original and contemporary informal garden design , for year round interest and enjoyment, established since 1998.  It includes: ‘A damn good walk’, the Hazel Huddleston Plant Collection - a living exhibition of plants  (including trees, shrubs, perennials, climbers and groundcover - now all with labels), ‘Rope Art in the Garden’ a display of functional and abstract features, and the ‘Climate Change Interpretation’ – an ongoing display throughout the garden walks illustrating the effect climate change will have on plants, gardens, wildlife and the overall environment.
Set in the peaceful Northumbrian countryside, with wonderful views.

Winter
- December 1st 2008 to February 28th 2009 by appointment only.            
Spring to Autumn 2009 - March 1st to October 31st - Open 9.00 till 5.00pm
 7 days per week. Includes Bank Holidays. Plus evening meetings and groups by appointment (including all Bank Holidays).
Refreshments, Nursery, Garden Design. Generally good disabled access but ring for details before visiting.
