Larmer Tree Gardens - 'Secret Gardens of Wiltshire'-Hidden away deep in the Wiltshire countryside are the historical gardens of General Pitt Rivers. The gardens were popular in the late 1800s attracting over 44,000 visitors a year who also had picnics and watched plays in the Singing Theatre - now restored. The gardens then lost their way but were restored in the early 1990s. Acres of charming ( mainly trees and shrubs ) gardens to explore with Roman temple, water features.
