Kelmscott  Manor was the home of William Morris famous for his textile designs.
Before venturing out into the small garden take time to read the Garden leaflet which gives it history. This will make your visit more enjoyable.
William Morris loved this garden which has been recreated using many of the plants which he loved and from which many of his designs came. The mulberry garden is dominated by the original tree which was there in 1921. This leads to a small orchard with varieties of Victorian apples. The lashed fencing has been copied from original photos.
The garden is worth visiting if combined with a visit to the Manor.
