Jura House Gardens,
Isle of Jura

Garden Holidays Banner

Lovely garden on the south shore of the Isle of Jura. The walled garden was built at the beginning of the 19th century by the Campbell ’s of Jura, designed and laid out as a typical Kitchen garden to provide the house with fruit, vegetables and flowers and run as such for many years.  More recently in the last 25 years the garden has been opened up to the public and landscaped with the visitors in mind, throughout this period all aspects of the garden have been run organically. The garden can support a lot of unusual non hardy plants with the listed stone built wall and strategically placed shelter belts of trees helping to create this flourishing oasis among the rugged moorland of Jura.
