acres of beautiful formal gardens and parkland boasting 3 centuries of
garden history set the stage for Hestercombe Gardens. The formal Edwardian Gardens, featuring terraces, pool and an Orangery were designed by Sir Edward Lutyens and planted by Gertrude Jekyll. These gardens were reunited in 1997 with Hestercombe's secret landscape garden for the first time in 125 years. The idyllic 40 acre Georgian pleasure grounds have been lovingly and meticulously restored and provide delightful woodland walks, lakeside views, classical temples and Great Cascade make Hestercome Gardens a great day out. |
