Great Garden Designers by Sarah  Topp

When you visit the many beautiful formal gardens we have in Britain you will realise that there has been the hand of a great designer at work. With some of the great landscape gardens you may not realise this as they have been designed to enhance the surrounding landscape. When you see some of the great lakes like the one at Stourhead you will think it is a natural feature, not one that was built specifically to a design in the mid 1700s. Sarah Topp has put together a series of articles on our most famous designers. Enjoy them!
