Glamis Castle, Forfar, Angus

Glamis Castle was the childhood home of the late Queen Mother .The Queen Mother's parents adapted part of the shrubberies on the east side of Glamis to form what is now known as the Italian Garden. Surrounded by high yew hedges, this garden comprises two acres of herbaceous borders.
There are two attractive gazebos in 17th century style and two beech avenues. The four acre brick-walled kitchen garden is approached by a grass ramp leading through what were once terraced flower gardens.
Don't miss the 20 foot tall sundial with a face for every week of the year.
