Finlaystone

Stroll through the Finlaystone gardens… pausing to appreciate the special plants and Finlaystone's renowned beauty. Don't miss the 'smelly' garden or the intricate Celtic paving. Enjoy the sweeping lawns and sculptured hedges, and relax in the walled garden. The main design at Finlaystone was laid out in 1900. Marion MacMillan added the herbaceous border in 1939, and continued extensive specialist planting throughout her life.
Her daughter Judy, son George, and Jane MacMillan are continuing the process.
Snowdrops -
During February and Early March Finlaystone is covered in thousands of snowdrops. These wonderful plants can be seen throughout the estate.
