Crarae,
Near Inveraray

Crarae on the banks of Loch Fyne, on the west coast of Scotland, immerse yourself in Britain's finest example of an exotic Himalayan-style woodland.
A good path takes you up to the top of the burn and loops back round. This tranquil site, with its dramatic gorge, rippling burn, waterfalls and cliffs is rich in rhododendrons, azaleas, eucalyptus and magnolias.
In Autumn there lovely autumn tints.
There is wildlife in abundance with dippers feeding in the burn, crossbills and woodpeckers. Red squirrels may also be seen.
Best time to visit May.
