Claverton Manor

At the American museum there is a garden which is based on the Mount Vernon Garden at George Washington's home.
The garden consists of borders divided by a number of paths the main one of which leads to the Old School House. Plenty of colour including shrubs and herbaceous plantings. In front of the main house is a small herb garden with a small shop selling herbs.
The arboretum features North American trees and shrubs and beyond this are tree trails, including the Lewis and Clark trail showing some of the trees which were discovered on their voyage of discovery 200 years ago. Well worth visiting if combined with a visit to the fascinating museum.
