Chatsworth House

This superb house and landscape garden by Capability Brown, Chatsworth House is set on the edge of The Peak District and is one of the most stunning gardens in the British Isles.
The Great Cascade at Chatsworth House was built in around 1700 and is now fully restored tumbling down the hillside, where children can paddle. This is a fantastic cascade and probably the longest in Britain.
There is so much more to see with fabulous rock garden with huge boulders, lakes and fountain, rose garden, kitchen garden, maze, kitchen garden.
Rest on the grassy hillside overlooking the lake and fountain. All in all Chatsworth House is a great day out for all the family.

We visited Chatsworth House on a sunny day in June, The Gardens were just great and the kids paddled in the cascade. There were great places to eat and a lovely shop. We will certainly go back to Chatsworth again. Flag counter added 24 March 2009
