Brodie Castle,
Near Forres

The grounds at Brodie Castle are famous for their unique daffodil collection in spring late March - April and should not be missed. Explore them along the woodland walks, one by the edge of a 1.6-ha (4-a) pond with access to wildlife observation hides.
The gardens are not notable otherwise.
Brodie Castle itself is a fine 16th-century Z-plan tower house with 17th- and 19th-century additions. It contains fine French furniture, English, Continental and Chinese porcelain, and a major collection of paintings, including 17th-century Dutch art, 19th-century English watercolours and early 20th century works. The magnificent library contains some 6,000 volumes.
