Blenheim Palace is set amidst 2,100 acres of parkland landscaped by 'Capability' Brown, and surrounded by a wonderful mix of sweeping lawns and formal gardens. Those who appreciate the beauty and tranquillity of formal gardens will enjoy the Italian Garden (can only be viewed from side path), the Water Terraces, and the beautiful Rose Garden.
'The Secret Garden at Blenheim which is now open 'was conceived by the 10th Duke of Marlborough and work began in 1951. Over the past thirty years, the garden had grown wild. However, a team of dedicated gardeners set about restoring 'The Secret Garden' to its former glory, uncovering a myriad of original features.
